FedEx Tracking API Configuration Guide (for Existing Users)
Step 1: Sign In
- Visit https://developer.fedex.com
- Click “Sign In”.
- Log in using your existing FedEx.com username and password.
Step 2: Set Up Your Developer Organization
- Go to “Manage Organization” from the left menu.
- If prompted to create an organization:

Enter an organization name (e.g., your business name).

Choose United States as your region.

Optionally, include a website URL.

Click Create.

Step 3: Link Your FedEx Shipping Account
- In the same Manage Organization section, go to “Shipping Accounts”.
- Click + ADD ACCOUNT.
- Enter your existing FedEx shipping account number and related details.
- Once added, the account will appear in your shipping accounts list.
- You need at least one linked shipping account to generate a production API key.

Step 4: Create a New API Project
- Click “My Projects” from the left menu.
- Click + CREATE API PROJECT.
- In the project form:

Name your project (e.g., “TrackingIntegration2025”).

Check the box for “Tracking API”.

Choose your shipping account from the dropdown.

Submit the form.

Step 5: Obtain Your API Production Credentials
- After your project is created, go to API Project Overview.
- Click the “Production Key” tab (not the default “Test Key”).
- You will see:
- Client ID (API Key)
- Secret Key
- Linked shipping accounts
⚠️ Be sure you are using the Production Key tab, not the Test Key. These credentials are required for real-time package tracking.

Step 6: Notify 7bridges
Please advise the 7bridges team at onboarding@the7bridges.com of the API Key and Secret API.
