Printer troubleshooting guide:
If the printer stops printing then first take the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure that the printer is turned on and all status lights are normal. For a 7bridges provided Zebra label printer, ensure that the status light is on and solid green on the front
2. Check that all connections to the printer are correct. For a Zebra label printer, ensure that the USB cable is connected to the controlling computer - which may be the small Raspberry Pi device provided by 7bridges
3. Switch the printer off and then back on again. For a Zebra label printer, use the switch at the back
4. Ensure that the controlling device that the printer is connected to is switched on, the printer is connected to it by USB, and it is connected to the internet. If you are using a 7bridges supplied Raspberry Pi, ensure that the red status light is on and constant. Also, ensure that the ethernet cable is connected at both ends and the ethernet status lights by the socket are lit
5. If you are using a Raspberry Pi, switch it off and then back on again by unplugging the small USB power connector and plugging it back in. If you are using a 7bridges supplied wireless modem to connect the Raspberry Pi to the internet, ensure that the Raspberry Pi is connected by ethernet cable to the wireless modem. Also, ensure that the modem is switched on and that the status lights are normal. You can switch off the modem and switch it on again by removing the power cable and plugging it back in
6. If your printer is still not printing after following all these steps, contact support and provide the following details:
- What devices are connected to your printer
- Is the printer connected to a Raspberry Pi or another computer, and if so, what
- Is the Raspberry Pi connected directly to an ethernet port controlled by your IT team, or is it connected to a 7bridges provided wireless modern
- What steps you have already tried to troubleshooting the problem
