Can I change a charge category?

Customers are able to assign their own category to charges

Introduction

New charge descriptions received from providers are automatically assigned to an approved category: What charge categories are used in 7bridges?

Customers have the flexibility to change the assigned categories individually or in bulk for new or existing charges.

📣 Any changes to categories will be displayed in the Network analysis spend/charges reports up to 4hrs after the change has been made.


How to change a charge category (individual)

  1. Go to the Data manager > Charges section (available for Customer Admin or Optimise roles)

  2. Select the Charges tab (the default view will be the Analysis charts)
  3. Locate the charge description you would like to update, using the top level search and/or filter (below example utilises both):
  4. Click on the charge name you would like to update e.g. Global Import to UK. This will open the charge details page.
  5. Click the Edit button in the top right-hand corner:
    1. Select from one of the existing categories:
    2. Or start typing a new name and the option to Create the new category will be displayed, click on this to select the new category name: 
  6. Once selected, click Save
  7. The updated category will be displayed in the table.
  8. Network analysis > Spend > Charge reports will be updated, up to 4hrs after the change is saved.

How to change a charge category (bulk)

  1. Go to the Data manager > Charges section (available for Customer Admin or Optimise roles)

  2. Select the Charges tab (the default view will be the Analysis charts)
  3. Locate the charges you would like to update, using the top level search and/or filter
  4. Select the top level check box to select all the charges
  5. Click the Bulk edit button
    1. Select from one of the existing categories:
    2. Or start typing a new name and the option to Create the new category will be displayed, click on this to select the new category name:
  6. Once selected, click Save
  7. The updated category will be displayed in the table.
  8. Network analysis > Spend > Charge reports will be updated, up to 4hrs after the change is saved.
