We are releasing functionality to automatically extract data from logistics documents
A lot of logistics data is tied up in PDF documents. Extracting this in a systematic and automated way means that the functionality of Optimise can be more quickly used and to greater effect as the completeness of data will be larger. This allows faster onboarding, more audit value and more meaningful simulations. It also means lighter onboarding for carriers who don't need to spend time or resources creating reports. An often cumbersome and slow process.
We are releasing into BETA the functionality to automatically parse and extract logistics PDF in almost without the limitation of document type.
Some examples of documents we can extract from are:
- Freight Invoices
- Commercial Invoices
- Bill of Lading
- Airway Bills
- Delivery Notes
- Packing List
- Import Declarations
- Export Declarations
- Certificate of Origin
- Etc.
We use recent advances in AI technology to extract this data and load it into the 7bridges platform quickly and seamlessly.
This will be integrated into the following parts of the platform:
- Invoice gateway - 7bridges can act as a gateway to receive all freight invoices form one place. With this functionality we will be able to show all documents and top level information for all of these in a way that is lightweight for carriers and automated for uses
- Network analysis - If carriers are not able to send shipment data in tabular format we can now accept shipping documents and extract key information for visualisation in network analysis. This means faster onboarding times and more data visibility for your transportation spend.
- Audit - if additional information for shipments is provided in documentation this can be used to provide more depth for the audit functionality meaning charges can be verified more quickly leading to faster payment times and more accurate billing
