Overview
The locations section is split into 2 different types of addresses, Fulfilment locations and Address book:
- Both Fulfilment locations and Address book addresses can be selected when booking a shipment as a 'shipper' address.
- Directly in the software or via an API
- Both Fulfilment locations and Address book addresses can be selected when booking a shipment as a 'consignee' address.
- Directly in the software or via an API
- Both Fulfilment locations and Address book can be used in fulfilment rules* (click here for more information on fulfilment rules)
- Only Address book addresses have the option to save a VAT number and EORI number/s at the time of address creation.
- Only Fulfilment location addresses can be edited once saved (click here for guidance).
- Only Fulfilment location addresses will be accessible in simulation experiments for "what if" scenarios (click here form more information on Simulations)
⚠️ *Fulfilment rules require an exact address match. If any address field is updated (manually or via API), including the contact name, the rule will not be applied.
